I am completely against this amendment. Ford promised that he would never build on the Greenbelt and now that is exactly what he is talking.about doing. This amendment would not create more affordable housing it will simply create more housing for the rich. There are plenty of empty housing that already exists thelat is simply unaffordable to the general population. We need to be making the housing industry more affordable not building more mansions at the expense of your environment. There are also plenty of empty office building pisy covid that could easily be reconfigured into afforable housing without risking hundreds of ecosystems and species! The fact that this ammemdment is being proposed and considered while Canada makes claims about caring for the environment at COP 27 is a joke!
