The green belt is a protected piece of our land, and it was also promised that it would not be developed on. Urban sprawl is unnecessary and does nothing to appropriately address the current housing crisis. We need proper rent control to ensure housing is going to people who will live there and not a company or landlord looking for investments. Developing the green belt would be a stain on the legacy of Ontario.
