The green belt should not be altered. It was established to protect valuable ecological environments for all time, not as areas simply waiting until developers decide they want them. These lands have practical value as water sheds as well as recreational value. They are a legacy to future generations and we should not be so short sighted as to under appreciate them now. Furthermore, they have intrinsic value as unique environmental preserves that are not interchangeable with whatever other land the developers deem less economic for their selfish purposes.
Leave Ontario's natural wealth alone!
