I don't agree to allowing housing being built on the greenbelt. I would instead like to see more dense housing eg condo being built on existing land around the major transportation hubs. I live in Markham, and while the YRT is useful, most people do not take it as the bus frequency is not high enough. If we had more dense housing, this would increase the number of people potentially using YRT. Once frequency of bus increase, more people may choose to take YRT instead of their cars and help ease congestion on the roads.
