Dear Government of Ontario,
Do NOT destroy the green belt. Do NOT build housing outside of the existing urban boundaries. We NEED the land, the water, the wetlands and conservation areas.
Destruction of the green belt to build houses regardless of “replacing” lands with other parcels is reckless, an abuse of power, and decisions led by greed. There is ample room within existing urban boundaries to build. Governments have a responsibility to care for the land and the people. Saying that building on these protected lands, on the green belt is looking out for the people is a lie and must not be done.
