When I was in public school, I was taught that the greenbelt was a very important part of Ontario. That there is an aquifer underneath, containing a lot of freshwater that we use to drink. Another thing that I was told, was that new development would stop after existing plans were completed. This was important to keep the greenbelt healthy, as more people will lead to more pollution as everyone drives. Its depressing to think about the path this province wants to be going down. The environment needs to be a priority, how can people have hope for children when current times are so bleak & there seems to be no innovation from our leaders, unless they are looking at ways to undermine workers.
