We need our farmland. With food insecurity on the rise it is more important now than ever we are able to produce things ourselves. Wars are affecting our grain imports. Droughts have doubled the price of lettuce. We are so reliant on other places producing our basics needs for us We are taking our farmlands for granted. On top of the environmental impact, the houses that are planned to be built are low quality and cheap. I like most am trying to save up for a house and I would benefit from more housing being produced, but the impact of building in the greenbelt will be generational.
