I am one of many who does not want the Greenbelt touched. The point of protecting land is to protect it from this. Doug Ford said straight to the camera in 2018 that the people already told him not to and he listens to the people and won’t touch it. He needs to uphold this promise. He can repurpose empty office buildings. He’s already made it so that more people can living in single family dwellings. The NIMBYs in Toronto need to think carefully about apartments being built in their backyards vs. losing the greenbelt and speak up about this. If they're presented with the option, I believe many would concede the point.
