I am extremely upset, disappointed and saddened by this recent move by the Ford government to trump rights and democratic voices, and go back on promises that were made to the public about the Ontario Greenbelt lands in favor of cronyism and developer profit. I am gobsmacked that this government would make this irresponsible move to allow development of the protected, environmentally sensitive Greenbelt during a global climate crisis on the heels of their decision to remove environmental authority input and oversight in land use and development. Like Bill 28, Ontarians are speaking out on the blatant abuses of power by the Ford government. The collective, informed voices of Ontarians will not be silenced. Please respect Ontarians, our children’s future and our limited natural resources and reverse this decision!
