The greenbelt land is not…

The greenbelt land is not fungible. It should be protected forever and this development should not go through and that's not even considering the collusion and kickbacks Ford's developer friends seem to be getting out of the deal. Just environmentally, we cannot develop the greenbelt. Its not a decision we can take back later, the land will be destroyed.

Instead we can build houses elsewhere. There is more to Ontario than the GTA. We should also look at densifying existing residential land and changing zoning requirements from single family homes to have more options for density. There are housing options between sprawling single family homes and high rise condos and we would do well for society and the environment to explore them.

Do not develop the greenbelt!
