Our province is in need of green spaces. To cut into the green belt, you will be removing opportunities for residents of this province to enjoy the outdoors. For many residents, we live in condos and do not have access to a backyard. The opportunity to go explore the green belt gives many people the ability to disconnect from the city, get exercise and reap the benefits of green spaces. Not to mention, green spaces improve air quality, reduce air temperatures and decrease the likelihood of flooding. The province/city needs to relook at the housing plan and find a way to build without tearing into the remaining green belt.
