I believe that the Environmental Registry of Ontario should decline the proposed amendments to the Greenbelt Plan. The answer to the housing crisis in southern Ontario is not in single family homes developed in wetlands or in land that is meant to be protected for wildlife that are vital to Ontario’s ecosystem. I think we should be looking to repurpose pre-existing buildings that are sitting empty so that we can have high-density, low cost, housing low-income and homeless individuals.
