This completely missed the point that building houses is not going to solve the housing crisis. The issue is that peope CANNOT AFFORD HOMES, not that there are no homes. There are so many buildings that could be repurposed or renovated for housing that already exist without destroying more of our environment. These lands should continue to be protected and managed by the conservation authorities. This is completely unnecessary and has been previously promised that the Greenbelt would not be developed. Tired of this governments lies and destruction of our environment and communities for profit. This has nothing to do with helping people get housing, if it were we would be focused on affordable/low income housing, converting properties like unused schools and office buildings, but it’s not. It is 100% about profit. It is not going to help anyone and it is going to destroy even more of the environment in this governments never-ending sense of greed.
