sirs,
Rondeau park has had a cottage community for almost 100years. It was developed specifically to promote cottaging in Ontario.
The time has surely come to grant the cottagers security of tenure as is the right of every resident in the province.
A solution must be found for the PERMANENT OCCUPANCY of the cotttage lots, and a sale under Section 9(3)of the Provincial Parks & Conservation Reserves Act (2006) as directed by Minister Jeff Yurek is the best way.
The on-line petition seeking to end cottaging in Rondeau withheld vital information such as the net gain in protected parkland as it didn't fit the petition's author anti cottage narrative. It is possible that many who signed this petition would not have if they had known the truth.
The best interests of the municipality of Chatham-Kent by Ontario parks are being ignored
