My name is Laina Don and I live in Burlington with my family.

Doug Ford you promised not to touch the Greenbelt- keep your word! This isn't just land you can build over and add in other places. Each parcel contains unique habitat and wildlife that will be destroyed if it is developed over.

Mr. Ford you say "the Federal Government gave you no choice because they are bringing in more immigrants". This is absolute garbage. You do have a choice and it's not Ontario's responsibility to build all this housing for newcomers. This land is also owned by private developers that Mr. Ford has personal relations with and we all know that these large developers will not make this housing affordable. Not to mention that these proposed houses would be on floodplains and these homes will probably be damaged in bad weather.

If this ammendment is not reversed and the Greenbelt is not left alone, irreversible damage to PROTECTED LAND in Ontario will be done. The citizens of Ontario are outraged and do not want this. Listen to the citizens you all work for and the citizens that pay taxes. LEAVE THE GREENBELT ALONE!
