The Ford government should not be touching the green belt. YOU SAID YOU WOULD NOT TOUCH THE GREENBELT. I am a young adult who cannot afford a house, I understand there is a housing crisis but we also have a much more existential crisis in our global climate crisis. Paving over the greenbelt to build homes that only the upper middle class can afford, and creating more urban sprawl is the opposite of what we need. There is more than enough room to develop within city’s urban boundaries by looking at vacant lots. It would also be much more economically viable to do so, not just for taxes but how incredibly important our farmland and green space will be in the next 100 years. KEEP YOUR PROMISE, LEAVE THE GREENBELT ALONE.
