Doug Ford's government…

Doug Ford's government previously pledged to not developing on the Greenbelt. This land is protected as it houses thousands of species and their ecosystems. While there is a lack of affordable housing, there is not a lack of unused buildings in cities that can be transformed into housing. In Hamilton where I live there are hundreds of buildings in downtown alone that can be turned into residential units. Why are we not investing in land that is already developed and unused? Why are we not protecting our environment for future generations? Greed and money will not matter on a future earth that is uninhabitable due to actions like destroying the Greenbelt.
