Premier Ford said that the Greenbelt would not be touched. This proposal is in direct contradiction to that statement. He was dishonest.
I am very concerned about the loss of farmland, the loss loss of forested areas and wetlands that provide carbon mitigation and habitat for ever decreasing wildlife.
I am concerned about the cost to municipalities of required infrastructure to service the new developments.
There are better, less environmentally damaging and cheaper ways to create needed housing that do not require paving over green spaces in this way.
