This is not ok.

The findings and the projections from COP27 about what is happening to our climate as a result of the destruction of natural areas should be enough to strike this proposal down.

This is also not aligned with Canada's climate action plan on reduced emissions as part of the Paris climate agreement. This plan will increase emissions because it will require people to drive from further away into cities where the majority of jobs are located.

As a parent to young children, this makes me so angry and so sad because we are not leaving this earth better than we found it for future generations. How can we knowingly hand them a burning world, one that will be poisoned?

There must be a better option to create affordable housing. This is not the answer.
