I am strongly against the government of Ontario building on the Greenbelt. The green belt needs to be kept green to help preserve our province and the wildlife residing in these spaces.

As a resident of Ancaster, who bought in 2021, I believe that building on the Greenbelt tarnishes the neighbour hood that my family and I bought in to for a reason. We purchased in Ancaster because we valued close vicinity to the Greenbelt and the charm of the old neighbourhoods. It is a shocking choice to go against and override the vote of our city to build on this preserved property.
