So much for promises. Leave the greenbelt alone! What about the 14000 hectares available right now to develop on that doesn’t involve destroying millions of acres of wildlife habitats and exposing Ontarians to more harmful environmental consequences. The limited protected green land we have left should be increased, not ripped apart for more unsustainable development. There are other housing solutions that don’t involve dumping another large load on our very fragile climate. Repurpose empty housing and buildings in Toronto to create affordable living.
