The Ford government promised not to touch the greenbelt, and should keep their promises. Encouraging urban sprawl instead of protecting valuable ecosystems is unacceptable. Ontario should focus on increasing the density of its cities instead of expanding outwards. Urban sprawl leads to increased infrastructure/maintenance costs for cities. Increased population density results in better economic outcomes for cities.
Don't let the Ford government destroy the Greenbelt to build houses that, in the end, won't solve the housing crisis.
