I am not happy that the Ford government is trying to cancel the Cap and Trade system in Ontario. Ontario needs to be a leader in reducing emissions, and polluters need to pay for their actions. Fossil fuel prices should be higher to motivate citizens to switch to low emission options. The government should be using revenue from the cap and trade system to support green initiatives like rebates on electric cars and energy efficient appliances. I want Ontario to meet our obligations to the Paris Climate Agreement. I want Ontario to have the most clean energy of all provinces and the strictest pollution regulations.
