In Ontario we need a real climate change plan to reduce emissions and at the very least keep on track with the Paris Climate Agreement. Transitioning (quickly) to clean energy will be good for jobs/economy. Cap-and-Trade is good for us common citizens, so that polluters get charged, have incentive to stop polluting, and the money returns to us Ontarians. We need to insure the future of Ontario (and the world) both short term AND long term. From my understanding this is the best way to slow pollution, and I have attached an article explaining how it's actually a well-liked conservative idea (as should the clean energy sector - huge market). Cap and Trade is the smartest way to slow climate change, save Ontarians money and penalize the large polluters destroying our earth for profit. Please don't screw us over and the world in this important time for human life. I wholeheartedly reject this Bill to scrap Cap and Trade.
