As part of this proposal, would the MECP be willing to clarify the exemption of Section 8 (planning requirements) for projects outside of an area of settlement (which don't include any of the other 'triggers,' i.e. - enhanced investigation project areas, history of spills/releases, remediation projects, etc.).
The MECP has previously clarified this in a webinar (Page 16 - https://qpco.ca/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/1-Project-Areas-MECP-Excess-…), however the language in the Regulation currently does not match this clarification.
