I am often asked by visiting friends and new Canadians "what should I see while I'm here". My most common answer - Rent a car and drive northwest, north or northeast from Toronto to see how beautiful Ontario is. The greenbelt sits on the GTA's doorstep and is truly a wonder for all those who take a moment to enjoy it.
It would be a tragedy to lose this environmental treasure on our doorstep. Substitute lands farther from the people who seek to enjoy them are no substitute at all.
Ontarians are counting on our government to keep its commitment to preserving this natural treasure. Please don't let us down.
