I strongly agree with Minister Steve Clark's decision to remove lands at Pine Valley Dr north of Teston Rd from Greenbelt for the sole purpose of residential development.
There is no urgency to build more homes faster as Vaughan has tens of thousands of units in the queue to be built over the next decade. Imposing destructive development on the Greenbelt IS NOTt necessary.
This precedent will be a detriment to the community and future Greenbelt lands. Once the Greenbelt is gone, the ecosystem which is protected by the Greenbelt, will erode due to the effects of climate change. This loss will have immense ecological, social and financial costs.
Protect our community. Protect our residents. DO NOT approve this action.
