The local Municipality where I live and work is proposing to require a Community Planning Permit instead of Site Plan Agreement for residential development of fewer than 10 units. This will just substitute a new bureaucratic process instead of Site Plan Control thereby sidestepping the intent of the new legislation. Consideration should be given to prohibiting this type of process substitution in the new legislation.
