I am not in agreement with the opening up of our Greenbelt for housing.
The Greenbelt must be preserved as a buffer around our urban areas. It preserves ground water for numerous watersheds, wildlife habitats, recreation space, climate preservation and farmland.
Canadians in the GTA must learn to live in smaller vertical spaces, we can no longer build homes adding to our urban sprawl, loss of farmland and increased traffic.
Mr Ford promised he would not use the Greenbelt to make way for urban sprawl.
How dare he endanger our childrens' future.

We must stop urban growth sprawl now, build vertically and create housing that is affordable; create compact walkable communities within our present city limits.
