I am adamantly opposed to the proposed changes to the greenbelt, specifically map 6 in the area of Pickering. The greenbelt exists as a tool to protect farmland, natural features, biodiversity, local water-quality and quantity, and provide natural recreation areas for nearby Pickering and nearby urban centers and as such needs to remain protected from development.
