How can a government run for office promising to protect green spaces and then once elected do the total opposite? It's an abuse of people's confidence. Paving over green spaces is a very bad idea. Children know that, why don't adult leaders ? Why would any person buy a house built in flood areas? It's just not safe and you wouldn't be able to buy insurance to live there. Everyone understands how important it is to protect our environment. Why not our government? Do the leaders of our province still live in the 1950's? Our elected officials should read a little and educate themselves about the world we live in today. They should look to the future and make good decisions today that will help us further down the road, not repeat poor decisions that we have moved away from for good reasons. It's a shame and demonstrates a total lack of vision for the future.
