The greenbelt is an important and crucial component to maintaining healthy waterways, ecosystems and overall community health. Removing anymore of it will hurt us in the long run, making any homes developed on that land pointless when their occupants are suffering from adverse health effects, poor water quality and a lack of locally grown food. This drive to ram through approvals and fill units only serves to improve the livelihoods of wealthy developers and the rental companies that will ultimately be the only ones able to afford to purchase homes and is shortsighted. It will cost us in the long run and by then it will be too late.
