There are so many environmental reasons to oppose this plan. In a world where we should be doing everything we can to protect our green spaces and ensuring that lands remain protected, it is frustrating that this government insists that progress can’t happen without destruction of this essential land. Over the pandemic I gained a deeper respect for our local land and became grateful for spaces where I could get back to nature. It is part of why I chose to live where I do.
