Development of designated nature lands, destroying habitat for animals, insects and specific vegetation is not good for all concerned.

This development will also be taking away lands that supply FOOD. Yes, farmlands. Importing food at a higher price is not good economics. Also, this type of packed in housing has already proven too create a criminal and violent environment!

Have these people not taken any classes in geography or history?

This also concerns Pickering where development is going rampant. Stores and shopping is being removed, including gas stations, to pack as many people possible into as small a space - towers of condominiums are “replacing” them with no thought at all how people will shop to eat. Right now most grocery, clothing and other necessities are at least on transit lines or close to homes. Sad state when a local landmark is to be moved a few feet to pack in a condominium. Already coyotes and geese are wandering streets because current restrictions have been eased some and there is lack of habitat.
