This disgusts me. As a millennial who has lived in the green belt area my whole life I’ve never been more disappointed. As climate change being such topic of discussion on a GLOBAL scale, the government is choosing to destroy greenery and habitats that are going to get affected in such a negative way. Housing is a crisis because as an industry we can’t keep up with the booming population. With that being said, we shouldn’t jump to the idea of destroying land, ecosystems and habitats just so the municipality can create more housing for those coming from elsewhere.
