It's 2022 and we shouldn't need to debate the merits of sprawl and tract housing. Endless suburban expansion is an ecological drag we cannot afford in the face of the ongoing climate crisis. Additionally, sprawl living is more expensive for municipalities to service, less efficient and more time and cost intensive for each and every day of the lives of those who choose to settle therein.
The only people who stand to gain from these proposed changes are the proponents of new construction themselves. Let's build up,not out.
