It is not a good idea to remove the greenbelt to build more suburbs. The protected wetlands are important for the environment, and we have a looming climate crisis. Also, all the problems with the developers having connections to the Ford government are honestly disgusting. There are better ways to address the housing crisis, such as allowing for more medium density residences in cities like Toronto, better zoning to allow for mixed-use residential (why is it so uncommon for there to be a corner store on a residential street?!), and fees for empty units.
