I am writing to voice my disappointment at your governments decision to open parts of the green belt for development.

When you were elected and first brought up this idea you said that you heard your friends the people of Ontario and understood their desire to protect this gift, this legacy for all Ontarian's and promised to leave it as it is.

You had my vote there. Your willingness to listen and more so the willingness change your mind and repeal that universally unpopular legislation made a conservatives of me. You were like you said a Premier for the people.

That’s why I am so disappointed now.  The fact that again with bill 23 you are looking to break up and weaken the Greenbelt shows that really didn’t hear, or worse you lied. Friends shouldn’t lie to friends.

There is so much land the developers already own; so much land already in the urban boundaries of the Gtha already ready to be developed. At the very least can we not fill those spaces first before destroy the integrity of the green belt.
