I think this is one of the worst ideas to come out of the ford government. We are in a global climate emergency, our governments need to take action to help conservation efforts. Instead the Ford government has decided on a suicide pact by continuing deforestation and the destruction of the greenbelt. We need to be making more urban areas green not destroying the very thing we need to protect. I challenge the ford government to find a climate scientist or environmental scientist that agrees with this plan. Heck, go ask all the profs at Guelph University about this, I suspect you will find little support.

We have so many unused buildings in Toronto, London, Hamilton, not to mention all of the abandoned buildings in rural downtowns. No more urban sprawl!

In short, I strongly disagree with this suggestion.
