Bill 23 is nothing more than a land grab for a select few developers. You cannot build Ontario's future housing in such a reckless manner. We will permanently lose agricultural land; we will permanently lose species. It hamstrings municipalities, stealing revenues badly needed for green and engineered infrastructure. Removing the green building standards is another stupid move--this is the equivalent of your doctor telling you NOT to exercise. These standards do only one thing: IMPROVE QUALITY OF LIFE by reducing their energy needs and making buildings more comfortable and resilient. What is wrong with you people that you don't want all these good things? Do you think your money will help you when you can no longer grow food in Ontario but can't import it from California either because their drought is forcing them to make some tough choices? Do you think a fat bank account will protect you when the water comes through your basement, or worse? Do you think your wallet will serve as a shield during the next ice storm/tornado/hurricane/derecho/flood/drought/heatdome?
