We support Ontario's Housing Supply Action Plan, proposed Bill 23 and recommendations made by the Province to reduce duplication and build homes faster. The purpose of this submission is to request removal of these lands from the Greenbelt, that are abutting the Greenwood Settlement Area and adjacent to newly recommended urban settlement expansion lands in Northeast Pickering, in the City of Pickering. The proponent's head office is in the City of Pickering, has built over 20,000 homes in Durham Region and is committed to building an urban residential community with a range and mix of housing as quickly as possible. The supporting documentation will demonstrate the logic for the inclusion of these lands in the urban settlement boundary on the basis of good planning, serviceability, good transportation system and the feasibility of building housing in the near term.
