Dear Sirs,
I am very concerned with the proposed loss of the green belt or moraine land. We are continuing to ruin environmental sensitive areas for greedy reasons beyond what is good for the future generations. I feel that all this talk is very short sighted.
I realize that it is suggested that affordable housing is need to accommodate the future influx of immigrants. Maybe if we don’t have the space, than less people should be allowed to move here. Go to Federal government and fight for our already stretched resources in our Province. Tell them we can not take as many as they hope to send to this province.
Talking about resources, has anyone in your office tried to go to the hospital with sick loved ones. Do you even realize that family members must over see the patient care because there is not enough staff to safely run the hospital floors. Yet we are expected to bring more people into an area with these stretched resources.
What do you consider affordable housing? What I have seen in the area already obtained, no affordable houses are being built. Give your head a shake, this is not for the good of the every day person on limited salary. Who are you building these large homes for.
Land swapping should not be in the green belt, if not used now, it will be in the future. Let’s leave some safety cushion for our children and grandchildren. Not only for the wild life but our water tables that you will surly pollute with over population of these sensitive areas.
