The proposed changes are a terrible idea. I’m very concerned about this. The green belt needs to be preserved and protected and not gradually destroyed piecemeal. We need our farmlands for food and forests for the health of the province and for the health of the planet. Also conservative authorities absolutely need to be able to advise municipalities on where they should and shouldn’t develop. This is not only for the environment but to ensure developments are in areas that are safe for people.
