The developer knew they couldn’t build on this land when they bought it, they just thought they were too rich and privileged for that to apply to them.
Don’t prove them right. They deserve every bit of what’s been happening to them up until this point. This attitude of entitlement to rolling over the Greenbelt is unreal.
Realistically, this won’t even help the housing crisis. It’s profiteering from speculators like this that got us into this situation. There are many houses here already, they’re just price-gouged to hell so people like this can make a buck.
Behaviour like this should never be rewarded. Don’t capitulate to it. Stand strong as we have before, and tell them where to shove it.
