I do not support this bill. The greenbelt is a necessity to help protect the environment for generations to come and to help combat climate change. Adding single houses will not help reduce the Ontario housing prices and does not support affordable housing. There is a 99% chance developers will just build estate housing for the rich that will not help lower and middle income families afford houses.
Doug Ford repeatedly stated in his campaign that he would not touch the greenbelt. This is a clear disregard for what he promised what he would do if he took office.
PROTECT. THE. GREENBELT.
