This proposal is an absolute sham and borderline criminal. It is particularly insulting as it stands to enrich developpers with NO GUARANTEE of benefits to the public. PUBLIC LAND SHOULD SERVE THE PUBLIC. When you look at the proposed changes it’s obvious who will benefit from these changes and the environmental impact and damage to protected areas is unnecessary. This proposal does nothing to address the housing crisis in Ontario and only services to enrich the wealthy developers who contributed to the Ford re-election campaign. The government should be ashamed of themselves for this reversal of their commitment not to touch the green belt.
