I am NOT in favour of any development, homes or highways, in the Greenbelt.
With respect to housing the provincial government Report of the Ontario Housing Affordability Task Force states, "But a shortage of land isn’t the cause of the problem. Land is available, both inside the existing built-up areas and on undeveloped land outside greenbelts" page 10.
With respect to highways, more will not reduce exhaust fumes and therefore carbon in the atmosphere. More will simply lead to induced use and more congestion. And, really, 45 seconds worth of more time to, "spend with your family".
Leave the Greenbelt alone.
Climate change and food insecurity are real. Protect the Greenbelt for YOUR, if no one else's, grandchildren.
