I am in support of improving housing opportunities by utilizing existing zones and not opening up the Greenbelt. Even with allocation of other lands, I do not believe ‘break up’ existing Greenbelt lands is the best use of government powers.

I would support government moves to provide incentives provided to existing homeowners to build basement apartments with affordable rent requirements, and strategic investment into infrastructure for higher density in existing zoned areas. As a lifelong Ontarian, first generation immigrant, property owner, I really believe in the importance of balancing the need for new housing, while maintaining the environmental protections provided through the green belt Legislation.
