As an Ontarian I am strongly apposed to the Greenbelt changes being suggested by the Ford Government. This is not forward thinking for the longevity of the province but taking care of a few friends of the Conservative party for generating profits for only a small percentage of developers. The idea that you can build on one place in the Greenbelt and save lands in another area of Ontario does nothing to protect the animals, rivers and environment in the initial location. This is an similar idea that the Australian Government tried to implement and wanted the animals to move to the new area. This had devastating impact on the Koala bears to the point they are now on an endangered list and this was one of the many reasons the Government that implemented this is now no longer in power. We can only hope that soon the Ford government will no longer be in power and that Ontarians will again be able to move forward in supporting everyone for a better place to live and grow. It is a shame that in the process you will destroy the Greenbelt and that this can never be recovered. Shame on you!!!!
