Developing the Green Belt is short sighted and not the solution to the housing problem.
It has become incresingly clear that this is not a proposal that was based on what's best for the province, but rather that this proposal is based on who donated to Ford's campaign or has strong ties to him personally. It is clear that those that stand to benefit are people who snatched up the land just prior to the release of this proposal which reeks of impropriety and demonstrates that Ford is not opening this for the benefit of Ontarios, but rather for the benefit of his friends and those that serve to enrich or empower him and The PC Party of Ontario.
You can't replace the land lost with land elsewhere. It's not a 1:1 trade. Location and type of land matters.
This entire affair reeks for corruption.
